A commonly asked question is, is a yeast infection a sign of pregnancy? These theories must start somewhere, where though, I have no idea. But to answer the question, pregnancy and yeast infections are not related one bit. You can have a yeast infection while you’re pregnant, but a yeast infection is definitely not a sign that you are going to have a baby eventually.

See your doctor

Women that ask this question couldn’t have been to see their doctor yet either otherwise they could have asked them. So if this is the case they can’t be certain that they have a yeast infection. This is why it’s important to see your doctor at the first sign of any symptoms in your vaginal area. You get a correct diagnosis, and you can also ask your doctor if you’re pregnant if you’re worried about it.

What a yeast infection is a sign of

A yeast infection is a sign that you have Candida overgrowth in your vagina, and it needs to be cured as soon as possible. If you’re lucky this will be the only place on your body that the Candida is infecting so you can easily cure yourself quickly.

A simple natural yeast infection cure

An easy way to naturally cure your yeast infection is by using a tampon dipped in a live, natural, sugar free yogurt, and then you insert teh tampon just like you normally would. Leave it in for a couple of hours then remove it. Don’t leave it in any longer than that because it can actually start making your symptoms worse. The friendly bacteria that is in the yogurt lives naturally in your vagina so you have no chance of the Candida becoming resistant to anything. You can use this method a couple of times a day. If it hasn’t got better within a few days then you may need something stronger.

It’s important to remember to use a sugar free yogurt otherwise you’ll end up feeding the Candida yeast that is infecting your vagina.

If you do have a yeast infection, and you happen to be pregnant then I’ll say congratulations, and I hope you give birth to a happy, healthy child.

Untreated yeast infections are a topic that often comes up on the internet. Some women assume that their yeast infection will clear on its own if they leave their infection untreated, and just forget about it. This will not only not happen, but could be dangerous. I’ll explain below.

Information on yeast infections

A yeast infection is caused by a mutation of a usually harmless organism that lives inside all of us. The Candida Albicans yeast makes it’s way into almost everyone at birth. When something in your body is compromised in some way that’s when the Candida mutates and you start feeling your symptoms of an itchy, burning vagina along with your other symptoms.

The itching and burning ( most common yeast infection symptoms ) are caused by the mutated Candida yeast feeding on the skin cells on the inside of your vagina. If the Candida is left untreated it will just burrow its way deeper into your skin in search of fresh skin cells to feed on. When the yeast gets too deep OTC anti fungal creams may no longer work on curing the yeast infection. Sometimes OTC anti fungal creams can’t penetrate the skin deep enough to kill all of the yeast.

The untreated yeast infection will then become resistant

The once untreated yeast infection could now turn into a resistant Candida infection because the surviving yeast that hasn’t been killed by the anti fungal cream can mutate so the cream will no longer do anything. This means a trip back to your doctor for a stronger cream, or worse still, an oral anti fungal drug. Some women are lucky in the fact that the next more powerful treatment works, but for some, this is a slow journey into trying every treatment possible especially if their doctor doesn’t understand anything about yeast infections.

It might not be a yeast infection

Some women leave their infection untreated, and then find out that they don’t have a yeast infection. They have something far worse such as bacterial vaginosis or gonorrhea. When you have vaginal bacterial infections like these, and they’re left untreated you risk permanent damage being caused to your reproductive organs.

See your doctor

If you suspect you’re suffering from any type of vaginal infection it’s imperative that you go and see your doctor for a correct diagnosis as soon as possible. You can then get the correct treatment straight away, and you could be cured in days rather than weeks or months.

Untreated yeast infections are not a good idea as fungus only spreads if it’s not treated in any way. And if it isn’t fungus it will be another type of bacteria.

There is only one true way to tell if you have a yeast infection, and that is with a visit to your doctor. Many women though, would rather self diagnose themselves to save the embarrassment of the examination in the doctor’s surgery.

Yeast infection symptoms

It’s easy to tell if you’re suffering from a vaginal, bacterial or fungal infection just from the symptoms you can have. These include…

Rash on outer lips of the vagina

Vaginal itching and soreness

Painful urination

White vaginal discharge that has a yeast aroma

Pain when having sexual intercourse

Although these symptoms may make it obvious that you’re suffering from a yeast infection you need to visit your doctor in case you’re suffering from another vaginal infection. Any other infection that is not treated correctly and in time can cause permanent damage to your reproductive organs and/or your kidneys.

Your doctor will use a swab to test the culture that is infecting your vagina so you get an accurate diagnosis. Once you have that diagnosis you’ll be able to successfully cure your infection.

Monistat test

There is a test that a lot of women try that is with an OTC yeast infection treatment. The problem with this test is the OTC treatment can relieve symptoms of other vaginal infections as well as a yeast infection. So although the symptoms will be going, the real infection will still be getting worse, and will start to infect your fallopian tubes or kidneys if left too long.

Your health is very important to you. You can save yourself a lot of trouble in the future with a 10 minute visit to your doctor. It can be an embarrassing experience for a lot of women but that far outweighs the heartache of something bad happening like never being able to have more children, or suffering permanent kidney damage.

A question I’ve seen asked a lot is, will a yeast infection clear on its own? I don’t know of, or have ever heard of a yeast infection clearing on its own, so I would say the answer to this is no. Read more below on what a yeast infection is, and what it can do to you if left untreated.

Yeast infections explained

We all have the Candida Albicans yeast living inside our bodies and on our skin. When one of your natural defenses in your body is compromised the usually harmless Candida will mutate when it is no longer kept under control. Although the yeast lives harmlessly in us all when it gets the chance it will start causing problems.

When the Candida mutates it turns into an aggressive fungus, and it’s this fungus that actually causes your yeast infection and its symptoms. If this fungus is left untreated it will just spread further until you decide to start attacking it with a cure.

Candida loves your skin cells

The symptoms that you get with your yeast infection are caused by the Candida fungus feeding on your skin cells. Left untreated the fungus will just dig deeper into your skin looking for fresh skin cells to feed on. This is when your itching will get more intense, and this burrowing deeper can prevent OTC yeast infection cures from thoroughly killing all of the yeast. This is because the cream will have trouble fully penetrating your skin to kill all of the fungus.

Intestinal yeast infections

Because you have a yeast infection in your vagina your body has become a natural host for the Candida which means it will probably be able to live anywhere in your body. Your intestines are another place where the Candida can survive easily because what you eat becomes food for the Candida if your diet is high in foods like sugar and bread.

When the Candida is in your intestines it will also feed on the cells of the walls of your intestines. When you start suffering from Candida overgrowth in your intestines you’ll first start suffering from digestive disorders like indigestion and gas/bloating. When this feeding on your intestinal walls continues eventually the Candida will perforate your intestines. When this happens you’ll start experiencing symptoms such as…

Concentration problems

Memory loss

Foggy brain

Lethargy/tiredness

Aching muscles and joints

Chronic/recurrent vaginal yeast infections

And many more

Treating an intestinal yeast infection

Treating an intestinal yeast infection is a lot more difficult than treating a vaginal yeast infection. You need to…

Starve the yeast with a proper diet

Kill the yeast with anti fungals

Repopulate your intestines with friendly bacteria

Strengthen your immune system

Rid your body of the Candida yeast for good

Get the advice from an expert

To fully rid your body of the Candida fungus will need the help of an expert. Sarah Summer is an expert at ridding the human body of the Candida yeast. Sarah has helped tens of thousands of men and women worldwide, including me. Sarah has an anti Candida program as well as one to one email support if you need it.

You can find out more about Sarah Summer and her anti Candida program here – Natural Cure For Yeast Infections.

If you treat your yeast infection in time, and find out the cause of your Candida overgrowth you should be able to cure yourself very quickly. But a yeast infection will never clear on its own.

What a God send it would be for you if your period could cure your yeast infection. Unfortunately this is not the case unless…

A very mild yeast infection

If you’re suffering from a very mild yeast infection you can ( on rare occasions ) feel relief from your symptoms during your period. This is because your period will change the PH balance inside your vagina for a short while to a level that favors your friendly bacteria.

If this sounds like you

If you find relief from your yeast infection during your period then you should try a tampon dipped in live, natural, sugar free yogurt to naturally cure yourself. This will save you trying over the counter drugs and medicines.

Your period can make you yeast infection worse as well

The time of your period can also make your yeast infection worse. This is because this time of the month sends your hormones all over the place, and the Candida yeast like a body that has these hormonal changes.

Don’t rely on your next period as a cure

What you shouldn’t do after reading this yeast infection blog post is rely on your next period to cure your yeast infection, or even just see if it will cure it. The longer it is left the worse it will get. Your yeast infection is caused by a mutated fungus and will continue to spread until it is properly treated.

If you haven’t been to see your doctor yet it’s a good idea that you do, so you definitely know you have a yeast infection, and not something worse.

I hope you cure yourself soon.

If you’ve had a yeast infection for along time then there are a couple of good reasons for that. You’ve either been treating it incorrectly or you have an underlying health condition that is causing weaknesses in your body’s natural defenses. Whatever the problem is, you should be able to cure yourself for good once you discover the root cause of your frequent yeast infections. If you continue to leave the fungus breeding in your body then it will slowly destroy your health from the inside, and you could be noticing that already.

See your doctor

If you haven’t been to see your doctor yet, then it’s a good idea that you do so you can get a proper diagnosis of what is wrong with you. It’s good to know that you are actually treating a yeast infection because some women who think they are suffering from one, aren’t. And they spend hundreds of dollars on over the counter creams for fungal infections, and they are suffering from something completely different.

What makes this worse is the real infection is getting worse even though the symptoms are being alleviated with the yeast infection cream. These creams will alleviate the symptoms of many vaginal infections but they won’t cure them, and this confuses a lot of women, and they believe they are suffering from a fungal infection when they aren’t.

Treating the cause of your infection

To successfully cure your infection you must start treating it from the root cause. Just killing the fungus is not enough as the yeast in your body just mutates into more fungus once your course of treatment has finished. This is why most women who suffer from persistent yeast infections can’t cure their infection. They just keep on killing the fungus when that isn’t how you treat these infections.

To cure your infection your body has to regain the ability to stop the Candida yeast from mutating into fungus. You’ve had the Candida in your body your while life, and your body has been keeping it under control all that time. Now it has lost that control the Candida is growing in numbers and then it is mutating into fungus.

Once you stop the Candida mutating you’ll soon be cured. If you keep on killing the fungus only for your infection to continually give you problems then you’re just going to create a drug resistant infection.

Getting help

If you’re not having much luck in treating your yeast infections on your own or with your doctor’s help then you should think about getting help from an expert. They will be able to show you how to change the environment in your body so that the yeast and fungus can no longer survive and cause you problems.

Sarah Summer has been helping sufferers in the same position as you for a few years now, and has helped over 100,000 of them successfully treat their infections. Sarah has also given them the knowledge they needed to keep their infections away for good.

You can read more information about Sarah here – Sarah Summer’s Natural Yeast Cure.

This blog post is going to tell you the only way to correctly diagnose a yeast infection, and why this is the only way.

See your doctor

The only successful way to correctly diagnose a yeast infection is to visit your doctor. Your doctor will take a sample of the bacteria/fungus that is causing your symptoms, and then test the culture. This is the only way to get a correct diagnosis.

Even if you have suffered with a yeast infection before you should still see your doctor as other vaginal bacterial infections have similar symptoms to a yeast infection. You could have something more serious such as…

Gonorrhea

Vulvitis

Chlamydia

Bacterial vaginosis

If you are suffering from one of these infections and you self diagnose yourself and get your disgnosis wrong then you could be putting your health at risk.

Pelvic inflammatory disease

Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea, if left untreated, can cause pelvic inflammatory disease ( PID ). PID can then cause permanent damage to your reproductive organs, and many women don’t know they have PID until the damage has occurred.

Resistant fungus

Treating another infection with a yeast infection medicine when you don’t have a yeast infection can create a resistant Candida yeast. The usually harmless yeast could try and mutate to fight off the treatment, and even if it doesn’t succeed it can still make your next yeast infection harder to cure.

Look after you body

If you look after your body it will look after you. Don’t self diagnose yourself from a list of symptoms on the internet or from previous symptoms because they feel the same. The quicker you get a correct diagnosis the better off your health will be. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

How long does it take to cure a yeast infection? Yeast infections can infect many parts of your body, but for this blog post I’ll focus on the two most popular, and they are a vaginal yeast infection and an intestinal yeast infection.

Vaginal yeast infections

A vaginal yeast infection should take no longer than a week to cure. This is providing you know what caused the infection in the first place, or the cause of the infection has gone. If you’re vaginal yeast infection doesn’t get cured after a week, and becomes recurrent then there will probably be an underlying cause that will need to be dealt with in order to cure yourself.

Intestinal yeast infections

An intestinal yeast infection is completely different when it comes to the time in which it takes to cure yourself. Many things need to be taken into consideration, and you need to be strict with your anti Candida protocol for success as quickly as possible.

It will depend firstly on how long you have been suffering from your intestinal yeast infection. Some women suffer for years before they even realize that all the symptoms of illness they have been suffering with have been connected to a Candida overgrowth of the intestines.

Discovering the cause

Discovering the cause of your intestinal yeast is an important part of curing yourself. There’s no point in trying to kill your Candida overgrowth if the underlying cause is not dealt with as well. It could be a condition or illness or medication you are taking. Once you know what has caused your intestinal yeast infection you will rid your body of the Candida yeast a lot faster.

How long will it atke to cure yourself

Curing an intestinal yeast infection can take anywhere from weeks to months, and in extreme cases it can take longer than a year. This is why it’s important not to make any mistakes with yoru anti Candida protocol, as no one wants to fall into the longer than a yeasr category.

Being strict with dietary changes

You have to be strict with your dietary changes in order to cure your intestinal yeast infection. Many people think that taking anti fungal supplements is enough, but it’s not. If you carry on feeding the Candida while you’re trying to kill this fungus it will continue to infect you. One mistake like that can instantly stop your progress.

A successful intestinal yeast infection program that I used to rid my body of a Candida overgrowth was Sarah Summer’s natural cure for yeast infections. Without this program I would still be searching the internet for a cure for an infection I didn’t understand.

Why does your body make yeast? This question has been asked on a few occasions so I’ll explain why your body makes yeast below.

We all have yeast

Candida Albicans is the yeast that causes yeast infections, and we all have this yeast living in our bodies and on our skin naturally. Your body will usually keep this harmless yeast under control with its friendly bacteria and a healthy immune system.

It’s when your friendly bacteria and healthy immune system are compromised in some way that the Candida yeast will be allowed to mutate, and then start causing problems.

Your symptoms

When the yeast mutates it turns into a fungus that starts causing the symptoms like a sore and itchy vagina. Your vagina isn’t the only place that can get infected by the mutated yeast but is usually the first place because the mutated yeast loves a warm moist environment to live in.

What the yeast does to you

Once the yeast has mutated it will grow hyphe ( hooks, tubes ) that help the yeast attach itself to the your skin. Once the yeast has attached itself it will burrow into your skin and start feeding off of your body’s cells. This damage to your cells is what causes the soreness and itching, and the deeper the fungus gets the harder it is to rif yourself of.

The underlying cause

Because there is a reason why your body makes the infection causing yeast means there is always am underlying cause to a yeast infection. Many men and women do not find out this cause and is the reason why they suffer from recurrent yeast infections.

Where do yeast infections come from? A yeast infection starts from within you. A lot of women think that it is an infection that is caught from something or someone, but they usually just start on their own. The reason that happens is because you have yeast in your body all the time, and the reason you start suffering from an infection is because something is not right. In saying that, fungal infectiosn can be caught through sexual intercourse, but this is a small precentage of infections.

Yeast in your body

You have yeast living in your body all the time. It’s not just limited to the area of your vagina. Yeast lives on your skin, in your mouth and in your intestines. The yeast is kept under control by your body’s friendly bacteria, and when you start suffering from a yeast infection that means your friendly bacteria has lost the ability to keep it under control.

Yeast mutates into fungus

When the yeast is no longer under control it grows in numbers, and then it mutates into fungus. It’s this fungus that is feeding on the skin cells inside your vagina, and it also feeds in your intestines. If you’re suffering from more gas and bloating than you use too then this is a sign of fungus in your digestive tract.

Your treatment

You have various choices of treatments for your yeast infection. Most women go for a cream at first that you can purchase in your local drug store. If these don’t work most women just keep on using them just to eliminate their symptoms, and they hope that one day their drug resistant yeast infection will eventually go away. But that never happens, and then they try something else.

Other sufferers try oral anti fungal drugs if the cream they used didn’t work. This works for a lot of sufferers, and like above, if it doesn’t, the sufferer usually just keeps on using the drug just to alleviate their symptoms.

If you use both of the treatments above an they don’t work you need to go back to your doctor to make sure that there is no underlying cause of your persistent infections such as Diabetes. If you are healthy and your infection keeps coming back it’s because the two methods above do not treat a yeast infection from the root cause. So you’ll need to start treating your infection naturally and strengthening your body’s natural defenses that have been weakened.
